Highly textured hair has the unique ability to hold shape very easily. Wearing twists or braids overnight stretches my hair out from compact, tiny coils to looser curls. Some people choose to keep their hair in this stretched state to prevent tangles, and some simply like how it looks. 

 

After years of playing with my hair, I generally prefer to not fuss with it like this.
But it made some good sounds!
