I had chemically straightened hair from ages 5-19. The biggest difference between then and the 10+ years I've now worn my hair in its natural texture? My relationship to water.

 

I still don't need to wash my hair as frequently as someone with naturally straight hair, but I'm no longer as worried about humidity, pool parties, or a little lather, rinse, repeat.
